The Webelos Scout uniform has the following differences:
Webelos Scouts may choose to wear either the blue Webelos uniform based on the Cub Scout uniform or the tan/olive uniform similar to the one that Boy Scouts wear.
For the tan/olive uniform, boys wear the official Boy Scout olive trousers or shorts and official Boy Scout tan long- or short-sleeved shirt with blue shoulder loops. Official blue socks (with gold tops) are worn with the blue uniform, and official olive socks (with red tops) are worn with the tan/olive uniform.
With either uniform, all Webelos Scouts should wear the Webelos neckerchief (plaid with the Webelos emblem), Webelos neckerchief slide (handmade slides are also acceptable), Webelos cap, and Webelos belt buckle.
Insignias:
You may purchase a uniform with patches already sewn on from the scout store. It will come with:
U.S. flag emblem- cloth, red, white, and blue. Pre-sewn on every Cub Scout Uniform Shirt
Council shoulder emblem- We are in the Baltimore Area Council.
The World Crest Emblem & Ring- These are two separate badges.
You will still need additional emblems that are not pre-sewn on. they are:
Unit number- We are Pack "354". You will receive a pre-made unit number when you join. (Three separate numerals if you wish to purchase at the scout shop.)
Den Number- Your Den number will be determined by what rank you are and the patch itself will be given when you join.
Additional awards and insignias will be awarded over the course of the year.
We do not recommend "Badge Magic" to attach insignias as it does not always hold up and is nearly impossible to remove from a uniform.
Please see attached guide for proper placement of Cub Scout Insignias.
