Bear Cubs are Grade 3 (8 years old).  The Bear Den gets to participate in more independent fun.  They learn to take longer hikes, and to safely use their pocket knives.  Bear Cubs also do more cooking with the assistance of Akela.  Bear Cubs are learning more outdoor skills, and team building, and are excited by the outdoor adventure.
