Welcome to Troop 525

You have joined one of the finest youth organizations in the world.  Scouting has been serving young men like you since 1910, giving boys a chance to have many experiences they would not otherwise have.  Just like all aspects of life, what you gain from this experience will be directly related to what you, and your parents, are willing to put into it.
Troop 525 is run by the boy leaders in the troop.  The Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) and Patrol Leaders (PL) are responsible for the smooth operation and functioning of the troop.
The adult leadership, the Scoutmaster and Troop Committee, will provide guidance and encouragement when necessary.
Scouts with special needs are encouraged and welcomed to join Troop 525.  So we may best serve these Scouts, a discussion between the Scoutmaster and the Scout’s parents concerning the personal needs of the Scout (if any) is strongly encouraged.
Congratulations on making the decision to join Scouting!
